This is a Clearwater 7,150 litre shallow dig silage cesspool manufactured by Kingspan Environmental and made of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP).
Cesspools are suitable for locations without mains drainage where the discharge of effluent is not possible due to unsuitable ground conditions or limited space to construct a soakaway.
Designed and manufactured in accordance with BS 4994/BS EN976. They are available in four specifications depending on the method of installation, tank invert depth and ground water table; standard, heavy, extra heavy and special. Manufactured from GRP (orthophalic Polyester resin and glass reinforcement) Silage effluent storage tanks are supplied with a Chemical resistant liner (CR).

Why shallow dig?
The shallow dig design can save you money on site as you wont need to excavate as much as you would with a traditional spherical tank, meaning it’s usually quicker to install and reduces the chance of groundwater issues.
