Twinwall pipe used to keep raft afloat for charity

There’s so many things you can do with twinwall pipe, from land drainage to fitness obstacle courses to a river raft run. And that’s exactly what Kevin Wilkes and his team did to raise money for Cancer Research and the Air Ambulance. Using our our sturdy twinwall pipe, they created a seaworthy raft.

Their challenge was to build a handmade raft that would enable them to sail a 10 man crew down the River Avon and River Severn from Stratford-upon-Avon to Gloucester. That’s an impressive 60 miles with 19 locks to navigate.

To help them complete their challenge we donated 450mm twinwall pipes. The team used the pipes as an innovative means to keep the raft afloat.

They successfully completed their mission between Friday 22nd July to Sunday 22nd July and raised over £2,000 for some great causes. It looks like they had great fun in the process too. Congratulations guys!
