Rainwater is sent to a header tank which is situated within the loft space of a property, which then feeds the rainwater via gravity to WCs, the washing machine and to the outdoor tap. If there is an insufficient amount of rainwater in the tank, the dual value will switch to use the mains water back up to allow for a constant supply of water. The tank prioritises rainwater, meaning you'll make the most out of your rainwater supply all year round.
