The SG2 silt separator, companion to the class 1 bypass separator, belongs to the silt guardian range by Oaklands Environmental. Supplied with a lightweight foam filter, it effectively separates silt particles larger than 0.3mm and retains them for easy removal when needed. For added convenience, the filter cartridge features an overflow channel to address potential blockages.

This compact and lightweight design,  manufactured from Polyethylene, offers versatility and is suitable for a number of diverse applications. 

The SG2 silt separator  is well-suited for installation in drainage areas of up to 10,000 sqm.

Offering similar operations to the bypass separator design, the silt separator intercepts silts and sediments upstream of storm attenuation systems. Functioning as a filtration system, the SG2 temporarily retains water, allowing unwanted materials to settle on the bottom of the unit. This effectively prevents the unwanted particles from entering into your water storage systems.
