Great news for farmers, woodland owners, foresters and land managers seeking financial support for environmental projects. Defra has expanded its Countryside Stewardship Scheme, adding a wider range of capital items — several of which Cotterill Civils can supply.
Our Products Are Covered by the Scheme
As part of this initiative, you can now receive financial support for a number of our products and services. Eligible projects include the installation of:
- Rainwater harvesting equipment
- Watercourse crossings
- Cross drains
- Membrane for sediment ponds and lined bio-beds
- Underground drainage pipework for yards
- Underground storage tanks
- Above-ground tanks
- Low-ammonia emission flooring for livestock buildings
- Concrete yard renewals
Value of the Grant Significantly Increased
The value of the grant has risen considerably compared with last year. Under the standalone scheme option, you can now apply for:
- Up to £20,000 for boundaries, trees and orchards
- Up to £20,000 for water capital works
- Up to £20,000 for air-quality projects
In total, this means you could access £60,000 in funding support. If you wish to apply, act quickly — Higher Tier applications close on 30 April.
