How to install a duct access chamber

How to install a duct access chamber

Duct access chambers allow access to underground utility services such as electrics, telecoms and fibre optics. The chambers allow quick construction and have preformed holes to allow you to cut sections to suit the ducting being used.

The chambers are made of 100% recycled, strong, rigid single sections that can be stacked to reach the right height. They are available in a range of sizes but are all identical in their high quality and ease of use.

Are they easy to install?

Installing a duct access chamber is fairly simple:

  • Assemble the chamber with required number of rings
  • Excavate a hole to the required depth allowing for the base and lid
  • Install the required base
  • Make any required holes using knockouts where possible
  • Fit the chamber into position and make any necessary pipe connections
  • Backfill with concrete
  • Fit manhole lid and frame
  • Leave for 3 days to concrete to harden before allowing loads to be applied
