Land Drainage in the Spotlight
Land drainage has become an increasingly hot topic for farmers. With the Environmental Bill putting a strong emphasis on soil quality, more attention is being placed on maintaining healthy, well-drained land. In partnership with the NAAC, Cereals 2021 created the dedicated Land Drainage Hub — complete with live discussions, demonstrations, and expert talks focused on improving land drainage across the UK.

Throughout the event, several leading farmers and drainage specialists shared their knowledge — including Rob Burtonshaw, Dave Jones, Fred Clarke, and Phil Jarvis. These sessions offered valuable insight into why farmers should prioritise land drainage pipe coils and how it benefits long-term productivity.
Our Managing Director, Andrew Cotterill, chaired the discussions as Chairman of the NAAC’s Land Drainage Division — introducing speakers and leading Q&A sessions on the crucial role of land drainage in sustainable farming.
