Farm grant to improve water quality and soil health

Farm Grant to Improve Water Quality and Soil Health

Good news for farmers in the Midlands: Severn Trent Water has opened the latest round of its Environmental Protection Scheme (STEPS), helping farms fund infrastructure and land management projects that improve water quality, soil health, and the wider environment.

Eligibility depends on your location within the relevant Severn Trent catchment areas (farms bordering Severn Trent rivers across the Midlands).

What products does it cover?

The STEPS grant supports a wide range of water and environmental protection items, including products we supply such as rainwater harvesting systems, culvert pipe, and water pipe.

Priorities vary by catchment. For example, farms in pesticide catchment areas are more likely to secure funding for washdown infrastructure, which can include a compliant rainwater harvesting setup.
