Twinwall Pipe - it's not just used for drainage as Mill Lodge Primary explain

At Cotterill Civils, we love it when our products are used in creative and innovative ways. This week, we received some exceedingly positive feedback from Mill Lodge Primary School in Solihull, after we supplied them with some twinwall pipe for the children to play with at break time.

OPAL Scheme

The six metre twinwall pipe was installed as part of the OPAL scheme, which is a programme implemented in schools to help encourage children to engage in more creative ways to play. The scheme promotes creativity and originality by encouraging children to engage in outdoor play activities which also improves their social skills.

OPAL’s mission statement is “that every child in every school has an amazing hour of high quality play every day – with no exceptions.”

Community Impact

In the images below, the children can be seen climbing through the pipe, sitting on the pipe, and having plenty of fun. We love doing our bit for the community at Cotterill Civils, which is why jobs like this put a smile on our faces, just as much as the children's.

Feedback from Mill Lodge Primary School

Jo Challender, headteacher at Mill Lodge describes that “the children were so excited to play with it today” and that “they love it so much”.

To receive this feedback is invaluable to us, and we are so pleased that the children of Mill Lodge Primary are happy with their new play equipment!
