Full Description

Rafter gutter brackets are designed to be installed on properties with open eaves. This means that there are no fascia boards at the eaves. In this instance, it is not possible to attach a fascia bracket to the building to hold the gutter in place without first installing a rafter bracket.

This bracket is manufactured from galvanised steel and should be attached to the side of the rafter. A fascia bracket must then be attached to the vertical part of the rafter bracket to then be able to fix a gutter to the building. The height of this bracket can also then be adjusted to make sure that you can achieve the right gutter fall.

Alternatively, we also sell top rafter brackets, which can be attached to the top of the rafter instead.

What kind of bracket should I buy?

This most of the time depends on the specific design of your project. Open eaves that do not have fascia boards installed at the eaves of the building require a rise and fall bracket or a rafter bracket to be able to install the gutter.

The choice between the two is often aesthetic, with rise and fall brackets being particularly common on cottages or other rural properties. Nevertheless, their popularity is becoming more widespread and the rise and fall bracket is becoming more and more commonplace.

Take a look at our guide about the different kinds of guttering product available to purchase at the bottom of this page. In it, we explain in more detail the range of guttering products that you can buy and their different uses to give you a better idea of the sort of products you will need for your project.

Brett Martin guttering products are manufactured in line with the latest regulatory requirements and current UK and ROI building standards.
