Inspection Chambers – What are your options?

Inspection Chambers – What are your options?

An inspection chamber is an integral part of your underground drainage system. The chamber provides easy access for tests and inspections, as well as cleaning and clearing.

For some people, choosing an inspection chamber is a daunting concept, however, this needn’t be the case. At Cotterill Civils we are always on hand to provide you with any relevant information that you require.

What are inspection chambers for?

The main purpose of inspection chambers is to provide an access point for your underground drainage system, allowing you to repair any blockages.

In one sense, the plastic or concrete manholes are designed to enhance the safety of your drainage system, essentially restricting people from entering the system without authorisation.

With so many inspection chambers available to choose from, it can be incredibly difficult to identify which suits your requirements best, so why not consider the following factors:

Shape and Size.

Whether you’re looking for round or square chambers, we can help. We supply manholes for internal and external applications and can accommodate various depths. Within our extensive range of inspection chambers, you can expect to find an ideal solution for deep and shallow installations.

Adoptable or Non-Adoptable.

Any inspection chamber, whether it’s adoptable or non-adoptable, is designed to perform exceptionally well. Both chambers incorporate a robust design to offer a cost-effective solution for maintaining your underground drainage system and are fully compliant with strict regulations.

If you’re wondering what’s the difference between the adoptable and non-adoptable chambers, we can help you! The adoptable inspection chambers are designed to suit 2 or more properties and can easily be connected to the main sewage system, where the non-adoptable chambers are tailored to 1 property only, making them the homeowners responsibility.

Twinwall.

Here at Cotterill Civils, we supply inspection chambers for Twinwall pipe systems. Made from high strength polyethylene, the inspection chambers for Twinwall are available in 2 variations: the Straight Channel and the Deep Catchpit. Both are easy to connect to Twinwall pipes and are supplied in different depths and sizes to suit your exact requirements.

EN1401 Pipe Systems.

If you’re looking for inspection chambers for your EN1401 sewer pipe system, we have just the solution.

Unlike other systems, these are non-man entry inspection chambers and they make it easier for you to connect EN1401 UPVC pipes. They’re designed to be strong and hardwearing, suiting adaptable applications with 3m inverts and non-adaptable applications with 6m inverts.

Catchpits.

Put simply, the catchpit is an empty chamber that can be found within the underground drainage system. Like any of the inspection chambers that we have in stock, the catchpits are renowned for their high-quality and flexibility when it comes to preventing silt and debris building up.

The catchpit chambers are perfect if you’re looking to eliminate blockages inside your underground drainage system.
