Farm Business Innovation Show (7th-8th November)

Last week we exhibited at the Farm Business Innovation Show at the NEC and it was a huge success. Over the two days we met some fantastic people and gained a real insight into what people want to achieve with their businesses and how we could help them to diversify.

There was a lot of interest in many of our products and services, especially in our sewage treatment solutions as these were considered a necessity for business ideas, such as the conversion of buildings and glamping. People loved the fact that we don’t just supply the product and that if needed we could also install the sewage treatment solution for them, giving them the full 360 service. There was also a high interest in our rural construction service from businesses looking to convert or extend their existing premises.

Interestingly, we conducted a survey at our stand and discovered that 51% of participants were looking to diversify their business. Respondents included people from holiday parks and farms. A high number of those looking to diversify were farms who were interested in moving into tourism either by converting their farmland into glamping, camping or caravan sites.

Andy Cotterill, MD of Cotterill Civils, commented: “This was a fantastic event for us and we were really pleased with the interest shown in our products. The last few years have been difficult for farmers and diversification into other areas has become increasingly popular. We were delighted to be able to provide expert advice at the event on our sewage treatment solutions, rural construction and land drainage.”
