Cotterill Civils Sponsored Shakey Super Pull at Long Marston Airfield, Stratford on Avon on June 12th and 13th. The weather was fantastic and there was a good turnout of spectators that had come to watch the drag racing and the spectacular tractor pulling. Tractor pulling is the world’s most powerful motor sport. The idea is for the competitors to drag a sledge down a clay track as far as possible. As the sledge is dragged forward a moving weight slides further and further forward putting more weight on a skid pan hence making it progressively harder to pull. The winner will have the right combination of engine horse power (around 8000 BHP), grip and driver skill.
