Case Study - Rugeley Housing Syndicate

Housing Syndicate at Rugeley, Staffordshire - Case Study

Cotterill Civils have just resolved an ongoing issue for a small housing syndicate at Rugeley in Staffordshire.

For years the householders had been paying around £250.00 per month to have a tanker come and empty their old cesspool out. As well as the cost of this, it also caused much inconvenience for the householder whose garden the cesspool was in.

We were invited to look at the situation for the residents. We came up with the installation of a new Biotec 3 sewage treatment plant with an outlet pipe to a water course some 140 metres away. The Biotec is now discharging clean treated water into the water course 24 hours a day.

Since the installation the residents have no longer got the monthly emptying charge or inconvenience. They now have a silent running environmentally friendly solution to their waste water disposal problem.
